Hauts-de-Bienne. Candidate for the 2026 municipal elections, he wants to "take Morez out of its dormitory town status"

He is 43 years old, a construction company manager, father of five children, and has lived in Morez for eight years. Arsène Lequesne hopes to run in the 2026 municipal elections. "I'm not one of those who say that nothing is being done by the current team , but the city needs renewal. And youth! In our team, which can still attract motivated people, we have people aged 22 to 70."

The candidate's objective: "For Morez to emerge from its status as a dormitory town, even though we are well aware that it will not regain its letters of nobility dating back to the flourishing era of the eyewear industry."

If elected mayor, Arsène Lequesne wants to provide the means to attract small and medium-sized businesses; plans to propose an urban transport network; to develop the entertainment sector by facilitating procedures for associations; and even to allow the installation of a fast-food chain.

"We hear that things were better before. We want to say that things will be better after. At least a third of our list is made up of entrepreneurs. We're all new to politics, but we want things to change."

Arsène Lequesne wants to believe that "at the town hall, we can make things happen" and does not attach any political label to his list. "We need everyone. Our list is also very cosmopolitan, like the population. We have already distributed eight deputy roles to motivated people who have an interest in this or that field." Like Florian Grégoire, 23, very interested in urban planning issues. A real estate agent, he also runs the gym that has just opened in the city center .

As for Arsène Lequesne, he's committed to aiming for "first place." "Because I want to be able to debate and act democratically, having listened to all opinions. I already do this as a business leader. I know I'm capable of not deciding everything alone."
