Hoenheim. Municipal councilor Gregory Zebina died in a car accident.

On Friday, July 25, Gregory Zebina, a 33-year-old resident of Hoenheim, died following a car accident in a town in Rhineland-Palatinate, about sixty kilometers south of Bonn. According to German media reports, a car turned too far left on a bend and collided head-on with the vehicle in which Gregory Zebina was sitting. The three other people on board, including his partner Tina Haushalter, who was hospitalized with multiple fractures, were seriously injured.
"A day was never long enough for Gregory," relates Father Olivier Birklé , priest of the Ponts de l'Alliance parish community and "friend" of Gregory Zebina, moved. The young man thus multiplied his commitments: as leader and then manager of the Saint-Joseph scout group in Hoenheim , as municipal councilor of his commune and within the Catholic parish. After studying communications, he also worked in this area for the local mission and employment relay of Schiltigheim.
The Hoenheim priest praises him as "a very helpful person," resourceful and creative, who regularly took photos and videos. He had also decided a few years ago to start his own business as a photographer and videographer for public and private events.

A rich life, "always at 200%," with "one constant: service," continues Olivier Birklé. A characteristic he shared with his partner Tina, leader of the Hoenheim scout group.
Since 2014, Gregory Zebina has been a member of the municipal council, serving in the majority. The young man succeeded his grandfather, Edgar Zebina, the former dean of the assembly.
The farewell ceremony, which has not yet been scheduled, will take place in the privacy of the family. A memorial vigil will be held after the summer.
