How will the 'royal divorce' between Trump and Musk end? Here are two scenarios, according to a political analyst

The bitter dispute between Elon Musk and Donald Trump shook the United States and the rest of the world on Thursday, in addition to having significant economic and political impacts.

The dispute is clearly not over; a call between the two men to take place on Friday was mentioned by the media outlet Politico , but denied by the White House.

In an interview on LCN, political analyst and director of government relations at TACT, Stéfanie Tougas, described the feud between the two billionaires as a "royal divorce."

"There's something terrifying about the richest man in the world, who sends our astronauts into space, and the most powerful man in the world, Donald Trump, the American president, arguing in public and throwing mud at each other through social media," she said.

This dispute had an impact on Tesla's stock, which fell 14 points on Thursday, but also on the American social climate, Ms. Tougas claims.

"It impacts people's lives, the fact that these two men are fighting, but it's absolutely ridiculous that it's come to something like this. I have two 20-month-old children, and I think to myself: my God, they fight in a more adult way than Donald Trump and Elon Musk," she says.

Two scenarios

The latter also sees two scenarios as to what will happen next between Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

Initially, it is not excluded that the two men will talk to each other and succeed in calming the tensions between them.

"The other scenario I see is that Elon Musk decides to make this a personal war. "What's he going to do next?" the political analyst asks. "Elon Musk has had access to sensitive and privileged information in recent months. What's he going to do with that?"
