Last advice in Flayosc before the start of the school year

Last advice in Flayosc before the start of the school year

In the presence of the new representatives of the Youth Municipal Council, some fifteen resolutions were unanimously voted on for this final council meeting, which concludes the first half of the year. In addition to the usual administrative matters, it is worth noting that three resolutions focused on the request for financial assistance from the Department. The first was for the illumination of the bell tower and the beautification of the surroundings of the church. The second was for the repair of municipal roads, including the Montée de la Grande Vigne, Chemin Pontilesse, and others. Finally, the creation of an artistic fresco under the porch that connects Place Saint-Martin to Boulevard Jean-Moulin.

Furthermore, the elected officials adopted the amicable acquisition of a small plot located in the Le Rimalté-Font du Roux district, which will allow the widening of the current road. Let us recall that at this location, the future photovoltaic park is still under discussion (the idea for this project dates back to 2014, Editor's note). To this end, the municipality wishes to improve its electricity consumption and develop the production of renewable energy. However, the numerous administrative steps have been a real obstacle course: in 2018, then in 2025, a long-term lease with the project leader Engie Green was signed; declaration of the project in 2020 and compliance with the Local Urban Plan as well as filing of the building permit; authorization for clearing in 2022 and at the beginning of 2025, continuation of the declaration of the project.

An important point was also to be noted. In order to promote inter-municipal cooperation in risk prevention, particularly forest fires, elected officials authorize, if necessary, the intervention of members of the municipal forest fire committees and the municipal civil security reserve in neighboring municipalities. This pooling of resources can only be beneficial for all these volunteers in their prevention and surveillance missions, but especially in the event of a crisis. It should be noted, however, that these interventions will only be carried out with the agreement of the operational management of the CCFF and RCSC, and subject to prior notification to the mayor or his representative. Cooperation agreements will soon be established to provide a legal and logistical framework for these interventions.

Mayor Karine Alsters closed the meeting by warmly thanking the departments that worked tirelessly to deal with the damage caused during the short but violent storm that occurred last Wednesday.
