Loire. 2026 Municipal Elections: After his controversial posts, Elvis Bonnet's candidacy in Roanne rejected by the National Rally

Following our publication on the controversial posts of the man who is running as head of the list for the elections of March 15 and 22 in Roanne, the National Rally announces that this candidacy has been rejected by the party's national investiture committee.
He already saw himself there, but this was not the case for his political party. After the publication, in our August 27 editions, of an article devoted to Elvis Bonnet's controversial posts on Facebook (comments about Algerians for which the author pleads humor and disputes any notion of racism), the head of the departmental federation of the National Rally wrote to our editorial staff.
Corentin Jousserand indicates that, contrary to his ambitions, Elvis Bonnet will not be heading the list for the municipal elections in Roanne, on March 15 and 22. "Elvis Bonnet's candidacy to head the RN list was rejected by the National Investiture Commission, as early as July 7," writes the Loire delegate, who is also heading the list for the municipal elections in Saint-Etienne .
A delegate to whom we would have liked to ask a few questions to enlighten our readers on the role of the Roanne activist within the movement chaired by Jordan Bardella . At the time of publication of the article concerning him, Elvis Bonnet presented himself, on one of his three Facebook pages, as head of the RN for the Roanne 2 canton. A mention which disappeared this Thursday, August 28, the day we tried to contact him several times, without success. The man now only presents himself as a member of the RN 42 office.
Corentin Jousserand could have confirmed this. But we were unable to reach him despite several attempts. Remember that we had tried to contact the departmental delegate before our publication on Elvis Bonnet, but even then, our requests had gone unanswered.
