MEP Rima Hassan returns to France

Repatriated Thursday evening, LFI MEP Rima Hassan returned to France after three days of detention in Israel. She was arrested while attempting to reach the Gaza Strip aboard a humanitarian boat. As soon as she arrived, she participated in a demonstration at Place de la République in Paris, denouncing her "illegal" detention and reiterating that her action was "symbolic and eminently political." Greeted by several thousand people, she promised that other attempts would follow.
