With the reopening of terraces on March 1st and the launch of the spring season on March 20th, the vice-president of the Union of Trades and Industries of the Hotel Industry of Moselle (Umih) and manager of the Irish Pub in Metz, looks back on this pivotal time of year, "always respecting the regulations put in place by the town hall."

Spring inevitably means the reopening of terraces. Is it always a time you look forward to?

Christophe Periquet, vice-president of the Umih of Moselle and manager of the Irish Pub bar in Metz: "Obviously, we're often coming out of a harsh winter in Moselle. We're moving into a period from March 1st to November 15th where we're going to see people outside. With this reopening, customers are taking more time and enjoying themselves on the terrace. This is a boost for the rest of the season."

From one year to the next, does this require preparation or is it a "let's take the same old things and start again" dynamic?
