Moselle. Fort Saint-Sébastien in Bitche protected as a Historic Monument?

The town of Bitche has filed a request to have Fort Saint-Sébastien protected as a Historic Monument. This move is presented as necessary to revive projects around this site, created in the 19th century and forgotten for around a hundred years. Three monuments in the town are already listed or registered.
It is neither as large nor as old as the Citadel, which it faces, but despite this, it has a special place in the hearts of the people of Bitche. Fort Saint-Sébastien, the Roche-Percée fort, this "other" fortress in the city, was built in the 19th century. At the time, the idea was to strengthen Bitche's protection, with an investment of around 1,461,100 francs.
