Motion of censure against François Bayrou: the RN "does not prohibit itself and will not prohibit itself from doing anything," warns Jordan Bardella

The National Rally "is ruling out nothing" regarding the motion of censure announced by the Socialist Party on the subject of pensions , but is above all awaiting "the moment of truth" in the next budget, its president Jordan Bardella said on Tuesday, June 24.
In the absence of an agreement between employers and unions on pensions, the Socialist motion of censure is likely to be supported by the rest of the left, leaving the fate of François Bayrou's government in the hands of the National Rally.
"We are not ruling anything out and we will not rule anything out," declared Jordan Bardella, following a visit to the Impact PME trade fair, organized by the CPME.
But for the president of the RN, "the moment of truth for this government will come between the start of the school year and the end of the year when the budget is voted on" with "absolutely essential debates to be had on the subject of immigration, poor public spending, and savings to be made in state spending" .
"As things stand, I wouldn't bet a kopeck on the longevity of this government," he added, assuring that he was "now focused on the budget and on the need to defend the French people, particularly the France of work."
"This conclave was a load of smoke."So, he is not going to immediately censor "the pension issue (which) is part of a much more global economic reflection," according to him, while the left intends to punish the failure of the conclave of social partners convened at the beginning of the year by the Prime Minister, François Bayrou.
" This conclave was a smokescreen," a way for the Prime Minister "to give the PS a treat to gain a few months," even if "we knew very well that nothing economically viable (nor) socially just (would) emerge from it," mocked Jordan Bardella.
The RN, on the other hand, is considering "filing (its) own motion of censure" on "energy issues" , he indicated, while the government wants to enact its multi-year energy programming by decree and the National Assembly has rejected a proposed law on this subject.
"We could do it (...) it's part of the discussions we had this morning with the group in the Assembly," Jordan Bardella stressed.
