Pension Conclave: What's the Problem?

In the pension conclave, the debate remains lively. First, on arduousness: the unions have abandoned the idea of universal retirement at 62 or 63, but want to allow employees in arduous occupations—construction workers, cashiers—to retire earlier. The Medef (French employers' association) agrees, but only for employees in poor health; for others, it advocates retraining rights rather than early retirement.
