Remilly-en-Montagne. They trap Asian hornet queens to slow their proliferation.

A rather conclusive experiment has just taken place in Remilly-en-Montagne. The municipal team and an amateur beekeeper from the commune, Manuel Bousquet, have just recovered some of the Asian hornet traps that they had distributed and installed in various locations in the commune in March .
The goal: to trap the nest founders to prevent their proliferation in the village and protect the bees that the hornets are decimating. And at the time of review, with the return of the first traps, the harvest is rather encouraging since each of them contains between ten and twenty Asian hornets, which will limit the creation of nests in the town.
