Renewable Energy: "It can happen that sensitivities are expressed," says the Minister of Sports regarding the opposition between Agnès Pannier-Runacher and Bruno Retailleau.

A guest on "Autrement dit," the French Minister of Sports, the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Marie Barsacq, reacted as a member of the executive branch to the spat between Bruno Retailleau and Agnès Pannier-Runacher over the subject of renewable energy. Both ministers were called to order by President Emmanuel Macron.
Is the executive divided on the issue of global warming? On France Inter, Tuesday, July 1st, Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau stated that France would be a "model" for the rest of the world, and even the "fourth most environmentally friendly country" in the world. Subsequently, Minister for Ecological Transition Agnès Pannier-Runacher opposed the moratorium that the head of Beauvau intended to impose on renewable energy. This prompted a reaction from Emmanuel Macron , who called on each minister to "take care of the matters for which they were appointed."
What does the Minister of Sports, Marie Barsacq, think about this, a guest on "Autrement dit" on Thursday, July 3? "It is clear that Agnès Pannier-Runacher has been leading this ministry for a long time, (...) so she knows her subjects extremely well," reacts the person concerned. "We can all express ourselves (...) [the ministers] clearly do not agree on the subject. Today there is a central bloc made up of personalities from different backgrounds, (...) and therefore, we must also, within the government, represent diversity," continues the minister. "It can happen that sensitivities are expressed," concedes Marie Barsacq.
Regarding the objective of being in the top 5 medalists at the next Olympic Games in 2030, which will be held in Savoie and Haute-Savoie, Marie Barsacq assumes it: "It's ambitious, because we need to be ambitious to be able to perform" , and praises the programs of "support for high performance" in sport.
