Sarkozy excluded from the Order of the Legion of Honor: normal, with all due respect to Emmanuel Macron

Nicolas Sarkozy, who has been sentenced to one year in prison for corruption in the wiretapping affair, has been stripped of his Legion of Honour , according to a decree published this Sunday, June 15, in the Official Journal. This is a necessary step, as the rule is that a recipient is automatically excluded from this order, as well as from the Order of Merit, when a recipient is finally sentenced to a prison term of one year or more.
