The 2026 G7 will take place in Evian, Haute-Savoie

It's official: the 2026 G7 will take place in Haute-Savoie, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in the prestigious Hôtel Royal d'Evian, which has in the past been the scene of major international negotiations.
Evian is back on the international stage. On June 17, 2025, Emmanuel Macron announced on X that he had chosen the Hôtel Royal d'Evian, in Haute-Savoie, as the official venue for the next G7 summit, which will take place in June 2026. This prestigious establishment will host the gathering of heads of state for the second time, twenty-three years after the expanded G8 in 2003, which welcomed 21 heads of government from around the world.
This hotel, located at the foot of Lake Geneva in an intimate setting, is an ideal venue for major diplomatic discussions. This venue has already hosted the 1938 Humanitarian Conference, initiated by US President Franklin D. Roosevelt to decide the fate of World War II refugees, the signing of the Evian Accords following the Algerian War, and the annual Franco-German meetings since 1992.

If the hotel seems perfectly suited to represent, according to its own words, "the French art of hospitality." It is notably through the luxury that it aims to embody. Indeed, this establishment was elected as one of the best hotels in the world in the Conde Nast Traveller Reader's Choice Award 2025 ranking. This palace offers the best spa in France according to Hotel and Restaurant Meetings France , as well as dishes concocted by Michelin-starred chef Patrice Vander, six meeting rooms and 150 rooms and suites. Enough to satisfy the heads of state who will be present at the G7 in a context where negotiations could still be tense.
