The ineffable Agnès Verdier-Molinié, president of the liberal machine called Ifrap, for Foundation for Research on Administrations and Public Policies, whose economic thinking can be summed up in two words, "public spending," repeated over and over like a mantra, chose her moment well, with a column in one of our daily newspapers: "RSA, family allowances... France's worrying laxity in the allocation of social assistance"... It is true that she is not alone.

Gabriel Attal, headlines Le Parisien , is back at it again on unemployment insurance and the reduction of the duration of compensation. But Ms. Verdier-Molinié, in addition, has done her calculations. And so, "when we count the RSA, housing benefits, family allowances, the allowance for disabled adults, the back-to-school allowance, the minimum old-age pension and around fifty other aids, we reach 138 billion" ...

As a precaution, we must advise the president of Ifrap to avoid, even remotely, the front page of Wednesday's L'Humanité : 211 billion in public aid to companies, including those in the CAC 40. It could come as a shock to her.
