The overseas community was selected in the second round of short phrases for the 2025 Political Humor Prize. It responded to Laurent Wauquiez's question on the topic of "OQTFs".

The controversy surrounding Laurent Wauquiez's comments proposing the sending of people under obligation to leave the territory (OQTF) to Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon was featured in the second selection of short phrases for the 2025 Political Humor Prize, unveiled on Monday.
“Qualified Workers for Working in the Cold”The overseas community responded humorously to the LR presidential candidate's proposal with an ironic advertising campaign entitled "Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon: 146 days of rain, 365 days of happiness."
Playing on the acronym OQTF, the community proposed reinterpreting it in a positive way: "We Leave Everything Easily" to live in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, "We Come in Search of Family Tranquility", or even "Skilled Workers to Work in the Cold".

The "Press Club, Humor and Politics" jury also selected quotes from the rebellious Sébastien Delogu— for the second time —Reconquête MEP Sarah Knafo, and Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin. It will make a final selection in November before awarding its prizes.
