Waville. Flame Off, the amazing glass blowtorch festival, is open to the public

The Flame Off festival will take place in Nancy, at the Octroi Hall (for those familiar with the area, near the Autre Canal, on the Rives de Meurthe) from July 11 to 14. This year, the event is being spearheaded by Frédéric Demoisson, the Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France) based in Waville . The event is growing in size every year. "It really took a turn when we started organizing it in Nancy ," he confides. "The first editions took place in the Vosges – in Plombières-les-Bains and Remiremont – but we had trouble getting people there." Nancy is more central, "and has a real history with glass."
