Young Guard: Retailleau welcomes the dissolution of the anti-fascist collective, confirmed by the Council of Ministers

Support uncompromising information.
Still in the clutches of the far right, Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau has managed to gain the leadership of the anti-fascist collective Jeune Garde, whose dissolution was confirmed by the Council of Ministers on Thursday, June 12.
Bruno Retailleau has been the victim of a key figure in anti-fascism in France. It was with a simple tweet, published on the morning of Thursday, June 12, that the Minister of the Interior "welcomed " the dissolution "in the Council of Ministers" of the Young Guard. "Shame on you for attacking organizations that fight against fascism ," castigated the rebellious deputy of Essonne, Antoine Léaument. "You have chosen to be on the wrong side of history."
This announcement follows a cabal led by the former senator against several left-wing organizations since the eve of May 1st . The tenant of Place Beauvau had then announced his intention to dissolve the anti-fascist collective from which the rebellious deputy, Raphaël Arnault , comes, but also Urgence Palestine, an organization founded in reaction to the genocidal policy of the Israeli government, at the initiative of numerous mobilizations that have been organized in France in recent months. "Several members of the Young Guard are implicated by the justice system, notably for acts of violence," he had then tried to justify.
"While we have just experienced, in just a few weeks, a series of aggressions, attacks and even terrorist attacks by the extreme right, the Bayrou government has announced the dissolution of the Young Guard at the direct request of the RN," retorts the elected representative from Vaucluse, also co-founder of the left-wing collective. The same goes for the leader of the Ecologists, Marine Tondelier, who believes that Bruno Retailleau "will not let anything go... except fascism."
The man who has since been elected head of the Republicans (LR) party also tried to present his project as impartial, announcing the dissolution of the neo-fascist group Lyon populaire – also confirmed by the Council of Ministers. "What is happening is crazy," Raphaël Arnault, also co-founder of the Jeune Garde, had already denounced to L'Humanité . "We are preparing our legal response: we are a serious organization and not a violent one." The rebellious elected official reconfirmed this on Thursday, June 12, in his response to the Minister of the Interior: "We will fight before the Council of State."
It's step by step, argument against argument, that we must fight the far right. And that's what we do every day in L'Humanité.
In the face of relentless attacks from racists and hatemongers: support us! Together, let's make another voice heard in this increasingly nauseating public debate. I want to know more.
