Meta Oakley: New Smart Glasses Feature Kylian Mbappé for Launch

Building on the success of the Ray-Ban Meta, Facebook's parent company continues to invest in the smart glasses sector. A new collaboration was recently unveiled with Oakley, a brand specializing in sports eyewear. This is the perfect opportunity for Meta to bring its latest advances in smart glasses and artificial intelligence to everyday life.
The partnership between Oakley and Meta had been anticipated for several weeks. For the occasion, Mark Zuckerberg's company is going big by announcing footballer Kylian Mbappé as its French brand ambassador.
Broadly speaking, the Oakley Metas share many of the same features found on the Ray-Ban Metas. Users can take photos and videos while enjoying headphones integrated into the temples. Finally, Meta's AI is included to ask questions and get answers from artificial intelligence.

Meta, however, is taking advantage of this new partnership to offer the best components available for its connected glasses. Thus, the Oakley Meta are capable of filming up to 1620p (3k) resolution, unlike the Ray-Ban which only reaches 1080p (HD). Battery life is also doubled compared to Ray-Ban frames, with up to 8 hours of use.
A fairly high starting priceThe focus of these glasses is in the same vein as that of classic Oakley frames, namely sports users. However, the latter will have to pay a little more than for a regular pair to take advantage of the partnership with Meta. Count on 439 euros as the base price with almost seven different models available:
- Oakley Meta HSTN Limited Edition : Gold-colored temples and PRIZM Polar lenses (549 euros)
