These recruitments strengthen a team already composed of several experienced profiles, notably from the organization of the Paris 2024 Games. Anne Murac takes the helm of operations after having strategically managed six Olympic sites for the Paris 2024 Games. Mathilde Meurisse becomes Director of Sports: she has already worked on three editions of the Games, from London 2012 to Paris 2024, including Rio 2016.
The leadership of legacy, impact, and sustainability is entrusted to Elie Patrigeon, former director general of the French Paralympic Committee, who had already worked on the Paralympic strategy last summer. Finally, Blandine Vinagre-Rocca, former chief of staff to the president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Fabrice Pannekoucke, becomes director of public affairs. She had led the regional bid for these Games.
" French Alps 2030 can now count on an experienced and gender-balanced team of nine directors ," said Edgar Grospiron, president of Cojop, adding that the project's priorities will be actively relaunched at the start of the school year.
The next expected step will be the officialization of the venue map. A general assembly, preceded by a Cojop board meeting, will take place on Monday, July 21, at the committee's headquarters in Décines. This will be an opportunity for the organizing committee to present some of the selected venues, as the Méribel resort, initially selected for women's and Paralympic alpine skiing , threatened Thursday to withdraw from the Games.
