Iceland took advantage of a huge error on the ball from Michael Olise to open the scoring in the 21st minute, but Kylian Mbappé, from the penalty spot in the 45th minute, and Bradley Barcola (62nd minute) gave Les Bleus the victory. France finished with ten men after Aurélien Tchouaméni was sent off in the 68th minute.
