Athletics, French elite championships: Bergeracoise Ana Delahaie crowned, Périgourdins at the rendezvous

The French Elite Athletics Championships took place in Talence from August 1st to 3rd. Périgord was represented by four athletes who performed admirably.
French Champion, quite simply. This Friday, August 1st, at around 10:45 p.m., Bergerac's Ana Delahaie (licensed at Stade Bordelais Athlétisme) became the French U23 champion in the 10,000 meters walk in 43:15.15. A great performance, as she also reached the podium in the event (she finished third in all categories). She thus broke the French U23 record, her own record, since she was also the fastest at the European Championships in Bergen, Norway.
Boufrizi-Parenty passes the 8'30 markAnd then, the Dordogne was perfectly represented with two Trélissacois in the 3,000m steeplechase final. In the absence of Yoann Kowal, whose favorite discipline it is, it was Pierre Boudy (Free Run Athle 37) and Soheil Boufrizi-Parenty (Stade Bordelais Athlétisme) who ran for the Périgord. And what a final! While Pierre Boudy paid for his long season by taking 11th place, Soheil Boufrizi-Parenty, for his part, lived up to his promise. The young man wanted to go under the 8'30 mark and he did so perfectly by running the 3,000m steeplechase in 8'25''08. He finished fourth overall and third senior.
Finally, Josselain Barrellon-Vernay failed to qualify for the 1500m final. He finished in 8th place in his heat.
