Basket. Champagne for Jules Louppe and Maël Hamon-Crespin

As we meet again... The story between Jules Louppe and Pierre Homatter is about to expand with a new chapter. The young fullback (23 years old), who has only played for one club in his career, is trying out the National 2, leaving BC Longwy-Réhon to join his former coach at Recy Saint-Martin. The Champagne club made the move official this Monday. "Jules has proven that he no longer belongs in N3, the division in which he dominated this year in a top-of-the-table team ," the coach explains in this publication. "He has all the qualities required to acclimatize to N2, thanks to his skill, his fighting spirit, and his energy."
The darling of Longwy has indeed had a solid year with an average of 18.75 points in Nationale 3, which reflects a constant progression, after seasons at 14.04 (2023/24) 12.45 (2022/23) and 13.40 units per match (2021/22). This shows that it was time for him to take on a new challenge in the fourth French tier.

Another young Lorraine player will take an important step in his career. U20 European Champion with the Bleuets in 2024 , Maël Hamon-Crespin is leaving Saint-Chamond to join Champagne Basket, on a two-step transfer, as he was recruited by Saint-Quentin, a Betclic Elite resident, who loaned him to the Pro B club. The power forward (2.06m, 20 years old) is thus getting closer to a Pro A that he had furtively attended with Paris Basket , before going to toughen up in the Loire where he will have averaged 10.30 points and 4 rebounds this season . "Maël is part of a double sporting project, focused both on his individual progression and on his gradual integration at the highest level," explains Philippe Da Silva, the coach of the Picardy club. His future coach at Reims, Vincent Dumestre, sees "a fighter with very high potential," "with a big physique and great three-point shooting ability." "The goal is clear," the coach continues, "to prepare him to join the Betclic Elite next season, capitalizing on this year."
