After an intense and physical match, Stade Toulousain emerged as the Michelin-starred team, securing a fourth consecutive victory against Clermont. Jauneau's Clermont, who had come into the game tonight with intentions, as evidenced by a well-crafted start to the match, ultimately suffered an early defeat at home to the three-time reigning French champions. Approximately at times, Ugo Mola's men shifted into second gear in the second half, led by a gala Ramos, who was in all the right moves, as was Delibes, who showed his mettle on the wing, as evidenced by his try after a solo effort through the Clermont defense.

While Clermont proved tenacious, coming back three times to level the scoreline, Christophe Urios's men lacked a bit of precision. On the contrary, Stade Toulouse was able to capitalize on its momentum. For the return to the Top 14, Stade Toulousain is (already) looking comfortable with a valuable away win. This should put them on the right track in their quest for a fourth consecutive title.

Following this victory for Stade Toulousain in Clermont, here is the summary of the results of this first day of Top 14 .
