A day of firsts and lasts. This Sunday, Tadej Pogacar has the opportunity to clinch the overall classification of the Critérium du Dauphiné for the first time in his career. Already the winner of three stages before the finish in Val-Cenis , the Slovenian has a one-minute and one-second lead over Jonas Vingegaard, a cushion that should be enough for him to correct this anomaly in his record.

On a more emotional note, Romain Bardet will experience his last day as a professional rider. The 34-year-old Frenchman will retire from the peloton at the end of this race. He will participate in the Tour de France in his own way, on one of the Eurosport bikes .

The 8th stage of the Dauphiné will link Val-d'Arc to Val-Cenis this Sunday, June 15. It can be followed live from 3:15 p.m. on Eurosport 2 and 3:15 p.m. on France 3.
