The day after a 5th stage which saw the British Jake Stewart win after a mass sprint in Mâcon and the general leader, Remco Evenepoel fall in the last kilometer without losing any time, a new great meeting is planned this Friday, June 13 on the roads of the Critérium du Dauphiné .

Remco Evenepoel will be able to defend his yellow jersey. "There are no major injuries, just minor scrapes," the Belgian reassured at the finish line on Thursday.

Evenepoel retains his leadership jersey ahead of the final three stages in the Alps where he is expected to battle with Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar for the overall victory.

The big showdown will begin this Friday, with a finish lined up in Combloux at the end of a Côte de Domancy -Côte de la Cry series.

The 6th stage of the Dauphiné will be broadcast from 3:25 p.m. on Eurosport 1 and from 3:40 p.m. on France 3.
