Football: thunderbolt in Dordogne, Bergerac excluded from national competitions

Currently, Dordogne no longer has a football team in the French leagues. Bergerac, which was kept on the pitch in National 2 at the last minute (unlike Trélissac in National 3), has just been excluded from national competitions by the National Management Control Directorate (DNCG). Auditioned this Tuesday by the financial watchdog of the French Football Federation, Bergerac's management was unable to convince the body of the viability of their new project. The club, which had already reported financial difficulties during the season, wanted to base its future financing on the sale of players. A method not appreciated by the DNCG when it comes from professional clubs.
BPFC is therefore, for the time being, returned to the disposal of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine league; with perhaps, like Libourne last summer, a ban on being reinstated above Regional 3. This could indirectly benefit Boulazac for a repechage in Regional 1. But the Bergerac club can appeal the decision. The saga is undoubtedly only just beginning.
