French football submits its report to prevent conflicts of interest

This is intended as a small revolution in the still opaque microcosm of French football. On April 22, Frédéric Thiriez , head of the National Ethics and Professional Conduct Council (CNE) of the French Football Federation (FFF), unveiled the outline of the "declaration of interests" that the body requires French football leaders to complete to comply with the law of March 2, 2022, aimed at democratizing sport in France. An initiative that could change certain morals.
According to our information, the form has been sent to the relevant stakeholders, who have until June 30 to return it. The following must complete and sign it: members of the FFF Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Professional Football League (LFP) (excluding the office), the FFF and LFP Disciplinary and Appeals Committees, the National Management Control Directorate (DNCG), the FFF Supervisory Board, and the CNE.
In addition to their activities in football over the past five years, managers must specify their professional activities outside the field over the same period, mention their participation in the governing bodies of a public or private organization, a commercial company outside of football, as well as the professional activities of their spouse.
