Golf: four eagles and 97 birdies for the sixth DS trophy, in Périgueux

This Sunday, the sunshine and the perfect course provided a welcome backdrop for the 56 teams registered for the sixth DS Trophy, a two-person scramble format. All participants hoped to win the overall victory and thus be invited to Fontainebleau for the national final.
Tied on points (43) with Lucas and Mickaël Théodore (father and son) after more than six hours of play, it was finally Kevin Labussière (index 3) and Gwénaël Leclerc (index 18) who went to Paris. They will represent Périgueux against the winners of 51 other clubs from all over France. "It's our best performance," admitted the winners. "We often play together, we know each other's game and we stayed focused, even though it was long."
On the third step, with 42 points, we find three teams: Stéphane Boucher and Philippe Brachet, Laurent Galinier and Sébastien Lavocat, plus Mathieu and Léo Seletti (father and son). In gross, the brothers Thomas and Timéo Valmary (index 1.4 and 7.9) broke the course record with nine birdies and nine par 9s!
In the drive contest, on hole number 15, along the Beauronne, Marie-Charlotte Godard came close to 200 m and Théo Fonmarty (index 0.1) saw his ball stop at 290 m. Still as solid, Alain Merle (index 12) pocketed the precision contest at hole number 13, with his ball 1.50 m from the flag.
