Golf: in Dordogne, departmental titles were awarded in Périgueux this Sunday, July 13

Thomas Vernusse, a young hopeful from La Marterie, is the new champion of Dordogne.
On Sunday, July 13, the Périgueux golf course welcomed the entire team from the departmental committee for its Dordogne Golf for Biodiversity Championship. While all eight Dordogne golf courses were present, La Marterie, with three golfers in the top 10 of the 1st Series, and Périgueux stood out.
Young Thomas Vernusse (index 2.4), from La Marterie, thus inscribed his name on the trophy, with a card at -2 (70). Same score for Périgourdin Thomas Marty (index 4.6), who nevertheless lost due to the rule of the best score over the last 9 holes. Behind, Périgourdins Olivier Melin (75) and Gautier Godet (78), as well as Paul Yerby (79) for La Marterie, ensured the suspense until three holes from the end. In the 2nd Series net, it was the most Périgord of the Belgians, Jean-Pascal Duvieusart, who won by blasting the course (48 points). Patrick Masson (44) and Didier Donnat (42) climbed onto the podium.
In the women's competition, there were few surprises, but some great battles too. In the 1st Series, Laure Lafarge was untouchable with a flawless score. In the 2nd Series, Sylvie Castanet (41 points) and Monique Persigand (30), the president of the departmental committee, finished ahead of Sylvie Chancogne of La Marterie. Alexandre Guichard (index 43.1) finished first among the "new golfers" who had the opportunity to play one of their first official competitions there. Note that, as part of the Heritage Days on Saturday, September 20, the doors will be open throughout the golf course (conference, slideshow, site visits, introductions, etc.).
