In Dordogne, this women's team football becomes independent

The Chancelade and Marsac-sur-l'Isle women's team will no longer play under the USCM umbrella next season and is looking for reinforcements.
Even though it's coming off a difficult year, there will definitely be an 8-a-side women's football team next season on the Chancelade and Marsac pitches! Because a new project has emerged. "Following internal problems with the Chancelade-Marsac Sports Union, we decided to end our collaboration at the end of the 2024-2025 season," explains Élisa Murat, the new president and coach. "We clearly no longer saw ourselves in the club's project, and in particular its management. It's as if we'd already been 'alone' for a few months."
The women's team has therefore decided to officially set out on their own, under their own umbrella: Les Lionnes de Marsac-Chancelade. "We had at one point considered moving to another nearby club, but the town halls of the agreement did what was necessary to keep women's football on their land!" The women's team will therefore share the grounds of the two towns with the USCM, particularly during training sessions which will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., in Chancelade or Marsac.
Looking for female players and managersAlthough the return to training is scheduled for August 19th, the Lionesses have already been training every Tuesday in June. "It was an opportunity to keep up the pace, get together, and build relationships with future recruits." This Tuesday, the good mood was still present. And no fewer than thirteen girls were involved.

But the Lionesses, who will play in the Grenat team, hope to further expand their ranks. "A season is long, and you have to have twelve girls on the team sheet every weekend, with the constraints of each one's life," notes the president. "So I hope to sign a few players, but also some managers to support us. Because, today, most of the girls are players and members of the board."
In any case, LLMC is clearly displaying its ambitions for the upcoming season. "We just finished 4th in the Departmental 1, with a quarter-final in the Dordogne Cup. This year, we're aiming for the top spots and, at the very least, a Cup final!"
