Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, who will face each other in Bilbao on Wednesday evening in the Europa League final (kick-off at 9 p.m.), are hard at work in the Basque Country.

The two clubs, traditionally among the English powerhouses, will have a common goal: to salvage a failed season. Heading into the final matchday of the season, the Red Devils sit 16th in the Premier League, while Spurs sit 17th. That's the final two spots ahead of the three relegated teams.

Although they are in the same boat in terms of sport this season, Manchester United and Tottenham stand out from each other in terms of their clothing.

So on Monday, the Manchester United players traveled in suits. They wore a dark blue suit specially made for the occasion by British designer Paul Smith, and called the "Brierley." The item cost 1,000 pounds, or just over 1,100 Swiss francs. Supporters who want to look like their idols can get a 20% discount (offered by Paul Smith) to get their "Brierley" at the promotional price of 800 pounds (nearly 900 Swiss francs).

While the players' appearance was a major concern in Manchester, this wasn't really the case in London, one of the fashion capitals. The "Spurs" opted for a relaxed and comfortable look: they traveled in their training suits!

If Wednesday night's final consisted of a parade and were to be played on a podium, Manchester United would clearly have the advantage. But what will happen on the pitch, when the players have donned their traditional football kits? The answer will be given on Wednesday night.
