OGC Nice coach Franck Haise confirms Jonathan Clauss's desire to leave

Courted by Bayer Leverkusen for a month, Jonathan Clauss was not one of the contenders for a departure before this transfer window but could finally leave OGC Nice this summer, one year before the end of his contract.
His absence from training this Thursday, officially due to ankle pain, reinforces this hypothesis. Franck Haise did not deny this in a press conference, 48 hours before the match against Auxerre.
"He wants to leave because there's a good offer from a big club. That's understandable. It's been a few weeks now, which also explains some of his recent performances. The club wants to keep him, if there has to be a departure, it will be under conditions that respect all three parties. We want to keep him, he knows that. Keeping a player who doesn't want to stay is unusual. He might be there on September 2, we don't know. We'll see," said the coach.
