OM wins by a wide margin in its first preparation match

Marseille are currently training in the Netherlands and the match was played in Zeist, at the Dutch national team's training center.
All of Marseille's goals were scored in the first half, which was played by most of Roberto De Zerbi's key players and starters, such as Adrien Rabiot, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Mason Greenwood and Leonardo Balerdi.
Two of Marseille's transfer window signings, midfielder Angel Gomes and defender Facundo Medina, also started. The Argentinian was the first goal scorer of the match. The other goals were scored by Jonathan Rowe and Greenwood, who scored a hat-trick.
The second half was more balanced, with a completely reshuffled OM side. De Zerbi brought on another of his signings, defender CJ Egan-Riley, along with youngsters like Robinio Vaz and Darryl Bakola, and players with more uncertain status like Amine Harit, Pol Lirola, and Neal Maupay.
OM, which will begin its 2025-26 season with a trip to Rennes on August 15 to open Ligue 1, will play a second friendly match on Monday against Olympic Charleroi, a Belgian second division club.
