Paris FC probably expected a different welcome for their return to the top flight, 46 years later. The club, bought last year by the Arnault family, who intend to establish themselves permanently in Ligue 1 , failed in their debut, losing in quick succession to Angers (1-0) and then to Marseille (5-2).

In search of their first success, Stéphane Gilli's players will host Metz this Sunday... who must also score their first points.

Given their difficult start to the season, Paris FC, now based at the Stade Jean-Bouin , are expected to remain active in the transfer market . Having already added some key players, including Willem Geubbels and Kevin Trapp, the club is still looking to sign a right-back, a midfielder capable of making an impact, and a goalscorer.

Kick-off for Paris FC-Metz is scheduled for Sunday, August 31, at 5:15 p.m. The match will be broadcast on Ligue 1+ and with live commentary on the website parisien.fr.
