The Roland-Garros final , won Sunday by Carlos Alcaraz against world number 1 Jannik Sinner, attracted 9.5 million viewers at match point on France 3, for an audience share (PDA) of 46.8%, announced Monday on X France Télévisions. On average, the longest final in the tournament's history (5 hours 29 minutes) attracted 5.5 million viewers (41.5% PDA) on France 2 and France 3, the public group specified, citing figures from Médiamétrie.

This is the best audience for a final since Rafael Nadal's victory in 2011 against Roger Federer, which attracted 5.3 million viewers (7.4 million for match point). In detail, the first part, broadcast on France 2 until the 8 p.m. news, was watched by an average of 4.4 million viewers, the second part (including the trophy ceremony), on France 3, by an average of 7 million.

This epic duel between the Spaniard and the Italian is also the "most watched match historically on the platform" france.tv, with 3.2 million live videos viewed, France Télévisions told AFP. On Saturday, in the women's competition, American Coco Gauff's first title against Belarusian number 1 Aryna Sabalenka attracted an average of 3.1 million viewers (35.7% audience share) on France 2, with a peak of 5 million (47% audience share).
