Shooting: Thomas Chinours wins gold in Germany

Once again, Thomas Chinours from Périgord has added his name to the list of achievements in French and international shooting, by winning a gold medal at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany.
Shooting holds no secrets for him. Thomas Chinours, a member of the Périgord Shooting Society and who trains at the French CREPS center in Talence, won the gold medal this Saturday, May 24, at the ISSF Junior World Cup, 25-meter Olympic speed pistol, in Suhl, Germany.
This competition brought together the world's finest shooters. With a score of 577/600, Thomas Chinours took second place provisionally, before completing two shoot-offs in a fiercely contested final and winning the coveted gold. "Every shot is a new opportunity to excel," the young man confided. "The key is concentration and technique. I work tirelessly to be at my best, because I know that every detail counts."
With several podium finishes in major competitions, Thomas Chinours has established himself as a highly consistent and promising shooter. His ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain intense focus are qualities that allowed him to dominate his opponents during this high-level competition. The gold medal thus rewards years of rigorous training. And at only 18 years old, he has no intention of stopping there. The Périgourdin is actively preparing for the upcoming national and European competitions, with the ambition of flying the flag for France on the world stage.
