The Var women's juniors are French judo vice-champions

In Ceyrat (63), all of France's young judokas gathered for the French junior departmental team championships. Among these young talent (children born between 2011 and 2012), the Var judokas won the silver medal.

Having reached the round of 16 against their neighbors from the Alpes-Maritimes, the Varoises then won against their counterparts from Eure, Rhône, and Hauts-de-Seine. In the final, they ultimately lost to the Yvelines fighters, who were crowned champions. "This weekend, our juniors represented the Var magnificently. I'm proud," said Rayann Mouslim, president of Var Judo, in a press release.

The focus is now on next season, to try to bring back "a medal for the men and one for the women," concludes the president.
