Following the Mediapro and DAZN fiascos, the French championship, which begins Friday, will be self-broadcast by the Professional Football League. While waiting for the dream million subscribers, smaller clubs must cope with the loss of revenue from broadcasters. This austerity measure is further widening disparities.

It's an enthusiastic roadmap posted on Tuesday, August 12, on Linkedin by the fiery president of OM, Pablo Longoria . "Audiovisual sovereignty, independence and unity: the course of Ligue 1," is the title of this text which looks back on the launch, the day before, of the Ligue 1 + platform . This is the new means of broadcasting the French football championship (for eight of the nine weekly matches, BeIn Sports keeping one match per day), now in the hands of the Professional Football League (LFP), therefore the clubs. A "cultural change" and a resumption of "mastery of our destiny" writes Longoria, calling on supporters to take part in this new paradigm: "To believe in French football is to subscribe to Ligue
