Var basketball player Quentin Losser makes the big jump to Betclic Elite and signs for Dijon

Var basketball player Quentin Losser makes the big jump to Betclic Elite and signs for Dijon

It was an open secret, but the signing has become official. The Carnoules player will discover the elite of French basketball, as well as European competition with the JDA starting next season. The former Hyères-Toulon (Pro B) center is making the same journey as Cavalairois point guard Axel Julien, signed in the summer of 2015 from HTV.

This season, the former Champagne Basket star has made a name for himself in the elite antechamber, after unsuccessful attempts at Denain, proving himself to be one of the key players in the Var's survival. He posted the club's best rating (13.6), thanks to his great shooting near the rim (60.8%) and his efficiency on the rebound (6.2 per game), thus climbing into the top 20 of the division.

Losser: "I'm really proud"

Tracked by several teams, the native of La Seyne - voted best pivot in Nationale 1 last year - activated his exit clause at the end of the season, despite the Var club's desire to keep him. "I am really proud to join JDA Bourgogne Dijon for the coming season," rejoiced the NM1 champion with HTV in 2023-2024.

"I'm going to be able to discover the Betclic Elite and doing it in a club like JDA, which has such a rich history, will allow me to develop in the best conditions. I'm really keen to give my all, as I've always tried to do, to help the team achieve all its objectives and I'm going to work hard to move up a level and establish myself in the elite of French basketball."
