World Swimming Championships: Maxime Grousset withdraws from the 50m freestyle

The Frenchman, world champion in the 50m butterfly on Monday, has decided to focus solely on the 100m butterfly this Friday in Singapore.
Skip the ad Skip the adMaxime Gousset will not be competing in the 50m freestyle heats at the Singapore World Swimming Championships this Saturday. As he had hinted the day before, after his 7th-place finish in the 100m freestyle final, the Frenchman has decided to focus on the 100m butterfly, where he is clearly a contender for the title. He will therefore only be competing in one race this Saturday morning, at 4:20 a.m. French time, where he will be competing alongside his compatriot Clément Secchi.
