For the third consecutive year, the German manufacturer is continuing its “Racing for Charity” program.

Porsche is using its involvement in the world's most prestigious endurance race to raise funds for charities that treat children with serious illnesses. For every lap completed by its 963 prototypes on the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, the manufacturer donates 750 euros. You couldn't make it up: over the past two years, the German manufacturer has increased the amount of donations generated at Le Mans to 911,000 euros. These sums were donated to surgeons to treat children suffering from heart disease, injuries, or burns. In 2024, as part of the "Racing for Charity" program, more than 110 projects around the world were supported.
In recognition of this commitment, the German manufacturer received an award from the ACO, the organizer of Le Mans, in 2023. Since 2023, the donations received have enabled the organization Kinderherzen retten eV to transport 28 children and adolescents with congenital heart defects from developing countries to Germany so that they can undergo life-saving operations at the University Hospital of Freiburg.
This year again, the Porsche 963 race will be particularly followed by the medical staff of the associations concerned but also by children awaiting treatment.
