August residents will be delighted: they can enjoy Nekez Ari's second summer concert this Tuesday, August 5, at 9 p.m. at the church. The fifty-year-old Garazi men's choir has been perfecting an enticing program over the winter, which was a great success in July.
A cappella songs, secular and religious, traditional songs from the Basque repertoire, the group's own production given to four voices, masterful solos accompanied by a choir full of nuances to the whisper. A soloist in each section: Joseph, tenor 1 for the famous Basque lullaby popularized by Luis Mariano, Jean Bernard tenor 2 for a song in Spanish "El Pescador", in praise of the Basque fishermen of the Bay of Biscay, Michel the president, baritone to celebrate the feminine beauty of a young Guipuzcoan met in Donosti with "Ume eder bat" and Ekaitz, the new choir director and his deep bass voice to greet the winter snow with "Eluria marra, marra" and Laura on the accordion to accompany a festive repertoire.
Entrance 10 euros (free for under 16s).
