You can taste Martinique cuisine in 50 Quebec restaurants these days

Accras, chicken colombo, ti-punch, coconut flan... From September 9 to 21, 2025, Martinique is in the spotlight at several tables in Quebec as part of the 18th edition of the Martinique Gourmande festival.
This event, which aims to showcase the cuisine and culture of the "flower island," takes place in more than 50 restaurants and bars in Montreal, Quebec City and several cities in the province.
For the duration of the event, chefs and mixologists will be offering dishes, cocktails, and mocktails inspired by the sunny Caribbean island.
For example, you could go and taste a "tuna ceviche in a blaff-style sauce" at the Nikkei restaurant in Montreal, a "West Indian blood sausage" at Botanistes in Quebec City or a "chicken colombo" at Bâtiment B in Terrebonne.
As for the special cocktails created for the event by the establishments, expect to discover the famous agricultural rum of Martinique, which is made from pure cane juice and not molasses unlike traditional rum.
Also good to know: for the first time this year, the festival is offering a series of musical entertainment in several restaurants and bars in Montreal, Quebec City and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Enough to prolong summer and dream of the Antilles!
