Emmerdale couple 'torn apart' after Charity Dingle's given ultimatum

Emmerdale fans will be left on the edge of their seats as the beloved ITV soap promises a gripping ultimatum as Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) finds out about the desperate lengths Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) will go to support her granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill). In the upcoming episodes, Mack will issue a furious threat to end their marriage as he learns of Charity's decision to become a surrogate mother for the 20-year-old.
This comes after Sarah underwent an emotional emergency hysterectomy and learned is no longer able to carry children of her own. The news came as a major blow for the young adult, as becoming a mother is her heart's desire, and due to her illness, she is not eligible for the surrogacy agency. Tonight's episode will see Charity unexpectedly make the offer, realising that there aren't many other options for Sarah to become a mum.
However, Mac refuses to accept Charity's life-changing decision, even though she initially made it clear to Sarah that she had no plans to tell her husband.
This quickly backfired as Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) couldn't resist and told Mack, Charity has offered to be her granddaughter's surrogate.
Blown away by the revelation, Mack heads to find out more, but this quickly spirals into an explosive argument, during which Charity refuses to back down and fiercely defends her decision.
Although Jacob Gallagher (Jow-Warren Plant) was astounded that Pollard betrayed his trust, the shop owner stood firm and warned Jacob that he was making a huge mistake.
As Jacob rails at his grandad, Sarah accuses Eric of having a problem with her gran, but Pollard admits his true concern is her shortened life expectancy due to her rare genetic condition, Fanconi anaemia.
Mack, meanwhile, will be left gutted by Charity’s eagerness to carry Sarah’s baby but not his after their tragic ectopic pregnancy in 2022, which leaves the couple unable to agree and upset.
Later that afternoon, Charity receives word that the clinic will try to inseminate. However, Sarah worries about the issues this may cause between Charity and Mack, determined, Charity assures her she’ll be able to talk him around.
Exasperated by her firm choice, Mack gives Charity an ultimatum and forces her to decide between the surrogacy and their marriage.
This comes after Charity failed to convince Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) to carry the baby. After the failure with the surrogacy agencies, they tried to do so privately and keep it within the family.
