Will DJ make his Croker return with Cats jubilee team?

As a subplot to the 2025 All-Ireland SHC final, there’s great interest in whether Kilkenny legend DJ Carey will make an appearance.

Nine times an All Star and also a former Hurler of the Year, Carey is one of the greatest hurlers of all time. In 2000, he won the fourth of his five senior All-Irelands with the Cats.

That 2000 team will be celebrated on its 25th anniversary at Croke Park ahead of throw-in tomorrow, but a question many are asking is: will DJ be present to participate in the jubilee celebrations?

Although DJ’s troubles off the field have been well documented, what the 2003 All-Ireland winning captain accomplished on the field of play during his career is truly the stuff of legend.
