Apple: New Products Coming in 2027

Apple: New Products Coming in 2027

Apple will announce new products during 2025 and 2026, but there will be minor changes. According to Mark Gurman (well-known journalist at Bloomberg), the real update of the catalog is expected in 2027 with a foldable iPhone, smart glasses and a device with a robotic arm. The Cupertino company could also abandon Google Search and opt for AI search .

Apple Products Expected in 2027

Gurman points out that the iPhone 16 isn’t much different from its predecessors (the iPhone 17 is expected to get more cosmetic changes). The Macs have new processors, but the rest of the specs are pretty much the same. During his testimony at the Google trial, Eddy Cue said that users might not need an iPhone in 10 years.

The executive wanted to emphasize that real innovations are needed to face the competition. Innovations require many years of development and their success is certainly not. According to Gurman, 2027 will be a very important year for Apple, not only because it will celebrate 20 years since the first iPhone.

The product roadmap first includes a foldable iPhone (The Information speculates a launch by 2026). The main goal is to offer a flexible screen with an almost invisible fold. An iPhone without a hole in the screen (and therefore without Dynamic Island) should also debut.

Apple's first smart glasses with a proprietary chip, similar to Meta's Ray-Ban, are also expected to arrive in 2027. They will use AI features, including Visual Intelligence. In this regard, the Cupertino company will create new chips for AI servers. There will also be an improved version of Siri based on LLM (Large Language Model).

A tabletop device with a robotic arm (derived from the smart home hub ) is also planned . A prototype of a robot lamp was shown in early February. A foldable iPad and a Mac with a touch screen are expected in 2028.
