Aston Martin Announces 5% Global Headcount Cut

Aston Martin has announced it will cut its global workforce by 5% . The redundancies will affect around 170 people . The British company is looking to reduce its costs and has said that the job cuts should save it around £25 million (around €30 million at the exchange rate of 26 February 2025). These are the words of Adrian Hallmark, CEO of the Gaydon company: "After a busy period of product launches, combined with industry and business challenges, our focus now shifts to operational execution and achieving financial sustainability".
Aston Martin said it expected to see moderate demand for the Valhalla , the British brand’s first plug-in hybrid , which will begin deliveries in the second half of 2025. Gaydon’s first electric car will arrive in the second half of the decade . Hallmark said it aimed to achieve positive adjusted operating profit for 2025 and free cash flow in the second half of the year. In 2024, Aston Martin reported a pre-tax loss of around £255.5 million (around €307 million at the exchange rate of 26 February 2025).
