Baby bullies at the festival: 5 13-year-old friends robbed

Baby bullies at the festival: 5 13-year-old friends robbed

Youth violence, another episode came to light this time during the first evening of the Busa di Vigonza festival. Around 10 pm five very young people between the ages of 12 and 14, all residents of Vigonza, were surrounded by a small group of baby delinquents who began to provoke them. Then they broke the ice and made them hand over the money they had in their pockets. One of the victims was also asked to hand over the sweatshirt he was wearing. These were moments of tension that earned the baby bullies a loot of 25 euros in addition to the item of clothing. The frightened kids immediately told the bad story to their parents who in turn were inside the pavilions of the festival at the height of via Aldo Moro.

The theft took place in front of the eyes of hundreds of people who were crowding the festival. Someone in defense of the young victims reached those responsible for the theft and managed to get the sweatshirt and part of the money back. However, given the tension that was felt at the festival, one of the relatives of the kids called 112 to report what had happened. In a few minutes a patrol from the Noventa station arrived in Via Aldo Moro. All the people involved were identified. The person who committed the theft had time to slip away, but the military already have many elements in hand to identify them. It seems to be a multi-ethnic group of about 17 years old living in Padua. From the evidence collected immediately after the events, the Carabinieri have ruled out that the theft was aggravated by the presence of knives or other blunt instruments.

The mayor of Vigonza, Gianmaria Boscaro

Informed of the incident, the mayor of Vigonza Gianmaria Boscaro reported: "The police, as confirmed in the intervention report and as declared by the complainants, exclude and deny that knives or other cutting weapons were used during the fight. It appears from the investigations and the declarations of the complainants that some boys who were not residents of Vigonza approached some younger adolescent boys who had just gotten off the rides and stole 20 euros from a girl and 5 euros and a sweatshirt from two other boys. Furthermore, the restitution, albeit partial, of what was stolen from some of the boys involved, namely the sweatshirt and approximately 10 euros, was confirmed. In conjunction with the opening of many festivals and outdoor initiatives that represent opportunities for our kids to gather - he concluded - the attention and vigilance of our local police and carabinieri remains high with the reinforcement of security measures. As mayor, however, I appeal to all adults, parents and non-parents, staff and workers at the festival, residents and citizens, to collaborate in the surveillance and to report situations of danger or suspicious or risky behavior for the youngest". In the meantime, on Saturday morning, the parents of those involved formalized a formal complaint at the barracks in Pionca di Vigonza. The task of intercepting those responsible as soon as possible is up to the military of Marshal Daniele Rampin.
