Banca Progetto, CEO Paolo Fiorentino leaving the board of directors

Banker Paolo Fiorentino is leaving the board of directors of Banca Progetto, the Milanese institution that ended up in judicial administration for a series of loans with guarantees granted to companies that allegedly smell of ndrangheta. The decision of the banker already convicted in the first instance for the bankruptcy of Banca Carige, comes after a hearing at the Preventive Measures section of the Milan court responsible for verifying the restoration of legality within the institution. Fiorentino, according to what Milano Today has learned, asked the board of directors, which met today, to accept the resignation that had been refused only a few months ago when the administration was placed. The banker, according to what has been learned, should remain until the signing of the 2024 budget, scheduled for April. Bankitalia has reportedly expressed satisfaction with Fiorentino's exit from the board of directors.
